For decades now the bulk of darts competition in Christchurch and Canterbury have been based around the chartered clubs. It was recognised in 1959 that an organisation was needed to oversee the darts sections of the many clubs and ensure that rules and standards were adhered to and the CCCCDA was formed. The CCCCDA executive is also responsible for organising events like the Christchurch Winter Competition, South Island Championships as well as overseeing the grading of darts players in the region.
The CCCCDA executive looks after relationships with the New Zealand parent body (Clubs New Zealand) and ensures that Canterbury players meeting the required standard are able to compete at national and international levels.
The current office holders on the executive are listed here, along with their club details so you can ask them any questions you may have regarding darts. Executive members describe their positions as challenging and rewarding. Executive positions are sought after and provide a fantastic opportunity to give something back to the darts community.
